Who we are

This privacy policy covers the website at zakariyawoodworks.com.au, run by Zakariya Woodworks Pty Ltd (we, us, our), a timber framing and carpentry business based in Sydney, New South Wales. It explains what personal information we collect through the site, why we collect it, how we store it and how you can ask about it.

What we collect

When you use the quote form or email us, we collect the details you choose to give us: your name, phone number, email address, the suburb or estate of your site, the type of project, your preferred timing and anything you write in the message. If you send plans, engineering drawings or photos, we hold those too.

We do not ask for sensitive information such as financial account details through the website. If you call us, we may note your name, number and the details of the job so we can follow up.

Why we collect it

We use your information to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote, arrange a site visit or meeting, and carry out the work if you engage us. We may also use your contact details to follow up on a quote we have sent you.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for marketing lists or newsletters.

Website and technical data

Like most websites, our hosting and security providers may record standard technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you view and the time of your visit. If your project involves a builder, engineer or certifier you have already engaged, we will only discuss your job with them where that is part of doing the work you have asked us to do. Otherwise we do not pass your details to third parties unless the law requires it.

How we store it and for how long

Enquiries, plans and quotes are kept in our email and business records so we can refer back to them if the job goes ahead or you come back later. We take reasonable steps to keep this information secure and to limit access to it.

We keep enquiry details for as long as they are useful for the purpose they were given, and business records for as long as Australian law requires. If you would like your enquiry details deleted sooner, ask us and we will do so where we can.

Access, correction and deletion

You can ask us at any time what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.
